Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in 2011, and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships in 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA profession in the year 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO at the end of round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
